Senior Surveyor (Marine)

Simon turned a lifetime of boating into his career over twenty years ago and has been active in the marine sector ever since. His experience ranges from working for the world’s largest yacht charter company to being an officer on board arguably one of the world’s finest cruise lines, but his passion has always been for racing yachts and spent many years sailing around the world and competing in numerous events. Since returning from a life at sea, Simon worked for the Boat Safety Scheme as the Business and Technical Manager and also with British Marine as a Technical Executive, where amongst other things, was an active member of the BSi and ISO committees for Standards development for Small Craft. Simon joined HPi-CEproof in May 2020 and is enjoying putting his knowledge and experience to good use.

Simon sails a classic 1980’s wooden dinghy at a local sailing club and has recently been converted to the joys of stand-up paddle boarding. Yachting is still a passion and he manages to sail as often as he can.
