Competent Body Accreditation
Competent Body is the name given to an organisation that has been appointed by the UK Government to examine products to one or more IN-SERVICE regulations. This is a different to an Approved Body for the certification & UKCA marking of equipment before it is put into service.
HPi-CEproof has both accreditations and offers a Competent Body service for LOLER and PSSR and may carry out examination work anywhere that these regulations apply.
HPi-CEproof’ unique Competent Body identification number, as issued by UKAS, is 0328.
HPi-CEproof is a Competent Body for the following UK Regulations:
- LOLER – UK Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations (1998)
- PSSR – UK Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (2000)
